Shweta Mansingka
Shweta Mansingka is a ceramic artist based in New Delhi, India. Her journey began with foundational studies under Shri Devi Prashad and Rachna Parasher, followed by advanced training in a variety of specialized techniques, including Raku, crystalline glazing, and paper clay with notable experts such as Simcha Evan-Chen, Tim Andrews, John Stroomer, and Antonella Cimatti.
Shweta’s artistic practice spans decades, beginning with terracotta sculpture training under Shri Ram Kumar Manna in Calcutta from 1989 to 1995. Her diverse technical background includes kiln and tool making, glazing, and alternate firing techniques, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary ceramic art practices.
Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions both in India and internationally, with significant solo and group shows and has received awards such as the ‘Sanmarg Aparajita Women Achievers Award’ (2023) and the ‘Silver Plaque at the MIKS18 exhibition’ in Croatia (2018).
Beyond her practice, Shweta is an active member of Artaxis and the Indian Ceramic Art Foundation (ICAF). Her work has been published widely, and featured in leading design and art magazines such as Architect and Interiors India, Art Soul Life Magazine, and POOL Magazine.
Shweta’s work offers viewers a glimpse into the silent yet profound language of clay, which she skilfully moulds into expressions of her inner world.
