WORK STATEMENT

Tracing lines is a series of an intense desire to narrate the ‘untold stories’ of artisan and their craft. It’s the journey of understanding the originality and its blurring lines to modernism. Artisans of the silk route were deeply rooted in the region they come from, and their craft is a window to the country’s rich culture, religious beliefs, artistic styles, languages and social customs which were translated into objects they crafted. This series of tracing lines focuses on how traditional crafts and contemporary sculpture can be re-imagined, and infused with the abstraction of stories that connect the histories, cultures and memories.
